Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority

The Australian Government is committed to ensuring that Australian families can access affordable, flexible, and high-quality childcare. The Government provides several subsidies and programs to help with the cost of childcare, with the Child Care Subsidy being the main type of assistance that most families will use.

To be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy the following requirements must be met:

The child must:

  • meet immunisation requirements

The person claiming the Child Care Subsidy, or their partner, must:

  • be liable to pay for care provided under a Complying Written Arrangement (their written agreement) with their childcare provider.

Childcare must be provided by an approved provider in Australia and not be part of a compulsory education program, for example a school. There are exemptions for individuals who genuinely cannot meet some eligibility requirements.

At Birches ELC we are focused on providing a range of session times to help support each individual family’s needs. Birches ELC offers 12, 10, and 9-hour sessions to make the most of the CCS available to you. This means your fortnightly CCS hours can be spread out over more days. Please speak to your Centre Director for a quote.

Birches ELC offer high quality care for children from the age of 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We offer full or part time permanent care, Monday to Friday. Enrolled families may request an extra casual day if required, however this is subject to availability.

We recognise that leaving your child for the first time can be a significant event in the life of the family. We endeavour to make this transition as positive and comfortable as possible for all involved and encourage families to participate in an orientation program so that your child feels safe and comfortable in their new surroundings. The orientation session(s) is complementary and familes are required to stay on the premises during this time.

Nappies, bedding, sunscreen, all meals, hat on enrolment, activity resources, school readiness program, large outdoor space, garden to kitchen program, incursions and excursions.
