Birches Early Learning Centre is a privately owned childcare centre and kindergarten tucked away in an tranquil setting at 90 Brunt Road, Beaconsfield. Our purpose-built state the art early learning centre is surrounded by abundant and natural play spaces that offer a truly organic learning environment in a convenient location. Our beautiful light filled facilities lead directly onto a wonderland of landscape designed playgrounds that will ignite the imagination.

Birches Early Learning Centre provides both care and education within a long day care setting and caters for the littlest of enrolees in the Nursery through to the 4 Year Old Kindergarten group who develop their school readiness skills under the supportive wing of our Early Childhood Teacher.

Our High Standards

The Care Of Our Children Is Of The Highest Priority, That Is Why Keep Our Standards So High

Our team of educators bring an impressive range of skills, qualifications and experience, ensuring every child is supported in their learning and personal needs. Our educators participate in regular professional development, mentoring and first aid training in order to remain at the top of their profession. As a ‘feeder’ to many of the local primary schools our Early Childhood Teacher attends regular kinder networking meetings to ensure the kinder children receive a seamless transition to school.

All meals are prepared onsite and our cook delivers a diverse menu across a four week rotating menu. Our healthy, nutritious and freshly cooked meals will tempt even the fussiest of eaters and our generous servings ensure full and satisfied tummies. Our highly experienced cook can accommodate any dietary restriction and our strict food practices provide for children with allergies or anaphylaxis. Our doors are open Monday to Friday, from 6.30am to 6.30pm (closed public holidays) and fees include all meals, nappies and educational programs.

Our Educators

At Birches Early Learning Centre we believe our team of Early Childhood educators are one of our most valuable assets and we could not achieve our goals or honour our philosophies without their knowledge, support and hard work. Our team understand the responsibility that comes with the role of an educator and are committed to ensuring that every child not only enjoys their time with us, but has been exposed to every available developmental and learning opportunity.

Our team approach ensures the individual and collective needs of the children are met in a harmonious and friendly environment. By maintaining a consistent and professional team of staff, we facilitate continuity and familiarity for the children and their families.

Our permanent team of highly qualified and experienced individuals have been selected through an arduous recruitment process that requires the following as a minimum:

  • Working With Children Check
  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Emergency Anaphylaxis Management and EpiPen administration
  • Emergency Asthma Management
  • Food Handling and/or Food Supervisor Certificate

Our team participate in regular professional development, mentoring and first aid training to ensure they remain at the top of their profession.

All team members hold (or are actively working towards) an early childhood qualification. Our educator-to-child ratios are better than the recommended minimum ensuring high quality care and supervision.

Fees & Enrolment

Birches Early Learning Centre is licensed as an “Approved” Long-Day-Care-Centre and Kindergarten. As a result, families may be eligible for fee assistance in the form of childcare benefit and/or childcare rebate. To be eligible for one or both types of fee assistance, families must meet certain eligibility criteria as determined by the Federal Government.

Healthy Meals

The Birches Early Learning Centre kitchen is fully equipped to allow our talented cook to deliver healthy and nutritious meals every day. With all meals prepared onsite the centre is often filled with the delicious smells of home cooking such as chicken pasta bake, tuna mornay, banana and cranberry cake, and our famous muesli slice.

Generous

Meals are based on a four week rotating menu, providing variety and choice. Our menu will tempt even the fussiest of eaters and our generous servings ensure full and satisfied tummies. Milk (and water) is offered with all meals to ensure growing bones are receiving their recommended intake of calcium. No junk food is served at Birches ELC!

Fresh

The freshest of produce is sourced locally and regularly to ensure maximum nutrition. Modified meals are available for infants, based on current needs (pureed, textured, etc.) and allergies, intolerances or dietary restrictions are easily catered for. Monitored & Regulated

As a registered (Class 1) childcare kitchen with local council, strict food safety and preparation policies are implemented. Our cook is trained in Food Safety Preparation and participates in regular professional development and local network meetings to ensure best-practice standards are met and maintained.
